Clariant’s Business unit leather has launched its new shade card illustrating the latest fashion for the forthcoming autumn-winter season 2005-2006.

Based on three major themes (Deluxe, Poetry and Eccentric), the shades include a wide range of more discrete but also more lavish, decorative colours.

The new look reveals contrasts between past and modern times, with reference to the fashion of the 1920s, the ideas of the 1940s and the elegance of the 1950s.

Deluxe represents the natural colour of precious, valuable materials. It features natural nuances between beige and grey.

Poetry is characterised by nostalgia, with shades from old rose and mauve to a mysterious shades of violet.

Eccentric, for the younger generation, is a curious mixture of street wear, folklore, retro and futurism.

The contrast of dark colours, such as green and blue with brighter shades such as yellow and green, dominate this young and wild style.

For the wet-end, Clariant’s high quality dyes like Sandoderm and Derma are used.

The finishing colours are achieved with the innovative range of casein-free, aqueous pigment dispersions, Neosan 2000.

These finishing pigments offer customised solutions and outstanding advantages for all kinds of leather.
