To cope with the market development and cater to the needs of various exhibitors and buyers, autumn fair will focus on both the import and export markets in China. More detailed product categorisation will be another highlight of the show in order to build up a more thorough and all-round business platform for the industry.
In the first half of 2007, China’s shoes import value reached US$110 million, an increase of 16.9% over the same period of last year. Domestic shoe consumption reached 2 billion pairs, most of which are mainly medium-to-top grades. China’s urban per capita disposable income from Jan-June 2007 has increased by 14.2% compared with the same period of last year. These figures show that there is huge potential in China’s domestic shoes market. Numerous international brands are establishing themselves in the first-tier cities of China, such as Amaldi from France, Beta, Valentino and Bolune from Italy, Martniel and Hash Puppies from the US and Clarks from the UK.
Dongguan China Shoes serves as a perfect platform for international brands to meet and interact with large-scale retailers, distributors, agents and OEM manufacturers in China.
