DyStar and KDCL will operate as independent companies and DyStar will continue to offer its comprehensive range of dyes and process chemicals as well as services to the textile industry.
Although the Geretsried site is not part of the assets purchased, DyStar will continue to manufacture and sell such well-known former Boehme branded chemicals such as Cutapol and Eskatan. Manufacture of these products will take place in DyStar’s other manufacturing assets worldwide that are to be confirmed. Production and sale of dyes under the Solvaderm brand name will also continue.
The company expects to see significant opportunities by combining its own forward integration to the leather industry with KDCL’s backwards integration into raw materials and intermediates.
