On 12–14 February 2019, Première Vision Paris will once again act as a catalyst for the creative fashion industry.

On the agenda is fashion information, the latest inspirations for spring and summer 2020, an exclusive and experiential programme, and strengthened strategic commitments to meet the industry’s future challenges and evolutions.

In terms of leather, there will be daily leather trend breakfasts presented by show fashion director Claude Vuillermet. Here, he will present the trend concept for spring and summer 2020, along with insights into the season’s key colours, products, leathers and furs apparel, leather goods and footwear markets. The breakfast sessions will also feature the very latest news from the show’s exhibitors.

In addition, a series of leather conferences and dedicated workshops aim to support fashion and accessory brands in the development of their footwear and leather goods collections. Included will be three roundtables hosted by consultant, footwear designer and IFM professor Nathalie Elharrar. She will share her experiences and propose ways to better understand the leather industry’s challenges in terms of environmental responsibility and social ethics.

There will also be conference workshops by Le Conseil Technique du Cuir (CTC) to help enlighten brands about creative and production processes for shoe and leather goods collections. First, Jérémy Goby, leather goods and saddlery consultant at CTC, will present winning synergies between expert craftsman, stylist and designer to create successful leather goods collections. The next day, Valérie Ladaviere, who is in charge of chemical technical support at CTC, will speak about REACH-based responsibilities for leather goods on the market.

Première Vision Marketplace

A true digital innovation for the entire fashion sector, business-to-business ecommerce platform Première Vision Marketplace became a reality last September. Developed to provide new tools that allow manufacturers and buyers to prolong their relationships throughout the year, Première Vision Marketplace is a way to increase business opportunities for suppliers, while facilitating the sourcing of materials for brands. Following on from fabrics, as of this February’s edition, Première Vision Marketplace is expanding its offering to include leathers.

This isn’t the only area of expansion, however. With an increase in exhibitors across its five halls, Première Vision Paris expects its offering to grow by 3% compared with the same time last year, when 1,725 exhibitors showcased their products.

Overall, it is estimated that this edition will boast 1,777 exhibitors, 161 new companies and 50 countries represented across six activity sectors. In the leather sector alone, there will be 227 exhibitors – 23 of which will be new – while Première Vision Manufacturing Leather will host 27 attendees, 17 of them for the first time.

Four areas, one message

Under the Première Vision Manufacturing banner, four Première Vision Paris fashion manufacturing spaces have been renamed to increase the visibility of their respective offerings and underline their synergies.

Launched in September 2018, the space dedicated to fabricating leather garments, leather goods and footwear, Leather Manufacturing, is now Première Vision Manufacturing – Leather.

To support the strategy of enhancing its manufacturing-sourcing offerings and better address the challenges of buyers seeking fashion manufacturing solutions, Première Vision is clarifying its Manufacturing offering, with a dedicated itinerary grouping, proximity and overseas sourcing, flatbed knit manufacturing, and leather fashion manufacturing, which has recently moved to Hall 4 of Première Vision Leather.

Situated in the heart of the Première Vision Leather show, this space brings together a selection of 27 international manufacturers ranging from upstream to downstream, all developing a global and transversal offering that is an invaluable asset to buyers. These top-level professionals present solutions in terms of manufacturing techniques and know-how that are highly sought after by fashion brands, which attend to meet reliable and creative partners to help them develop their accessories collections (shoes, bags) and leather ready-to-wear. This complements the offering from tanners and the makers of technical components at Première Vision Leather and Première Vision Accessories.

In order to showcase the offering, a product index illustrates the expertise of these specialists in the sphere of leather fashion manufacturing.
