Fashion Access, the largest trade fair in Asia for handbags, footwear, luggage, leather & fur garments and fashion accessories, will be held on 28 -30 March, 2007, in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Over 900 exhibitors – from more than 35 countries and regions – will be displaying their latest products and designs. Over 90% of the space is already booked and additional space is planned to accommodate overwhelming demand.
The strong focus on handbags, which has proved so popular, will be maintained. The fair will feature several country pavilions specialising in particular products, such as: Argentina with handbags and leathergoods, India with leather garments and leathergoods, the Philippines with fashion bags and accessories, Taiwan with luggage products, and Thailand with handbags and footwear.
Two additional major fashion events, will take place concurrently with Fashion Access. They are: APLF- Materials, Manufacturing and Technology (MMT), the global marketplace for leather, and Prime Source Forum, networking event for the international apparel industry.
Fashion Access badge holders will be entitled to visit APLF-Materials, Manufacturing and Technology.
A series of fashion shows, seminars and the trends’ lounges on offer at Fashion Access will point the way for Autumn/Winter 07-08 and Spring/Summer 08.
Key products from a whole range of exhibitors will be on display at the Fashion Trends Lounge, aiding buyers to catch the trend of Fall/Winter 2007-08. The seminar programmes of both Fashion Access and APLF-MMT have, once again, been designed for retailers and buyers by offering the latest information on trends, trade and technology.
An opening fashion show will introduce the mood and colour trends of Spring/Summer 08, in association with the Comité Français de la Couleur (French Colour Committee) and a renowned fashion designer. Buyers can also view the hottest colour trends and material directions of Spring/ Summer 08 at Material Trends Lounge.
In addition to the Best of APLF awards, APLF Ltd continues to sponsor and promote competitions that can help new and emerging international design talent.
Design prototypes from the Footwear Design Competition Hong Kong 2007 will be on view. A new international ‘Design A Bag Competition’ conducted on-line is already producing some lively and imaginative concepts.
