The 2003 edition of FIMEC – the International Technology Fair for the Leather and Footwear sectors, will take place in Novo Hamburgo, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, April 24-27.
Over one thousand exhibitors (800 from Brazil) are expected to attend and the organisers state that last year’s fair attracted 48,000 visitors! This figure is unaudited.
This years event will feature a new pavilion called ‘The Applied Technology Pavilion’ which will house computer science and information technology companies targeted at the leather-footwear sector.
A number of other events will be held simultaneously with the fair. They include the 5th Leather Forum – presented by ABQTIC including technical speeches and a congress. The lastest colour trends, fashion guides and a trends selection area presented by ABECA will also be shown.
National and international buyer projects supported by Fenac, Assintecal, Abrameq, CICB, Apex and Sebrae, and the export trophy awards for machinery and leather companies will also be presented.
The show will take place at the Fenac Exhibition Grounds in Novo Hamburgo.
