To increase productivity, FBP, have launched their continuous automatic folding machine, Folder. The device is suitable for all types of hides and skins and is particularly useful for folding larger hides or skins. The machine is intended to replace hand folding where uniform and consistent folding is required.
The Folder is entirely automated and has a synchronised loading and rotation device which enables the tanner to fold a single piece or a pack at a time. FBP have designed the machine to be universal enabling it to be fitted to all types of stacker and processing machinery or conveyor belt exit. The machine can be positioned to the height of any work surface.
When the machine is out of operation it does not block the line and, therefore, allows other operations to take place without hindrance.
