Hungary’s Central Statistical Office reports that the production of leather and leather products in Hungary in the first two months of this year was 25.7% lower than in the same period in 2002. Sales of leather and leather products by Hungarian producers in January and February were 24.1% lower year-on-year, with sales on the domestic market 23.6% lower year-on-year and, on export markets, 24.3% lower.
