A representative of the Italian leather and footwear machinery manufacturers has been elected to a key role in one of the most important Italian national federations, Intermeccanica. Following a meeting of the general board of Intermeccanica – the federation of national associations of the Italian mechanical industries, Giuseppe Barrera of Assomac was appointed as vice-chairman. Barrera is Assomac chairman.
Intermeccanica represents ten industrial sectors, including Assomac and the elections took place on April 4 in Milan. Andrea Riello of UCIMU (machine tools) was elected as chairman.
