Due to the high level of demand, The Leather Research Laboratory has scheduled a third Leather Orientation Course this year. The seminar will be held December 4-5 at the University of Cincinnati.

This course is designed specifically for the leather buyer – the individual responsible for sourcing leather for products, such as aircraft, auto and furniture upholstery, garments, leathergoods and footwear. The presentations have been geared to answer the most common questions about leather – from how to determine its properties to how to identify potential defects. Discussions also include: leather suitability, physical performance, shrinkage, finish resistance and colour fastness.

There is no other course in the US geared especially for the leather buyer. Past attendees include Harley Davidson, Delphi Automotive, Aris Isotoner, Coach Leather, Lands’ End, Ralph Lauren/Polo Luggage, H H Brown Shoe Co, and Reebok.

Registration cost is $850.
