The minister said the hub would house several factories and would generate over 10,000 new employment opportunities.
Following establishment of the leather hub in Fatuha, it is hoped that investors will return to Bihar, the minister said and added that this would give the skilled leather workers of Bihar a chance to work in their native state.
This reversing trend is an answer to all those who had been stating that no new investments would come to Bihar, Kumar said. Several Mumbai-based leather entrepreneurs are geared up to set up businesses in the Fatuha leather hub, which would significantly bring down unemployment rate in the state, the Minister said.

More than 600 micro, small and medium sized entrepreneurs are hoped to invest in the hub, which was developed by Aparna Industrial Promotion Council, an organisation established by the leather entrepreneurs of Mumbai.
