According to a spokesperson from Tong Hong, ‘Indonesia has been a major supplier for global footwear brands for several years but there has been a recent focus on further growth there. This follows positive developments in the economic climate and has led to expanded production by major brands such as Nike, Adidas, Reebok and Puma.’
‘In order to keep up with this growth and offer better customer service, Tong Hong Tannery has developed plans to expand their production footprint with a new facility near Jakarta, Indonesia’, they added.
Tong Hong tanning group is a global split leather supplier with existing facilities near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and near BeiHia, China.
Leather Working Group certifications for environmental stewardship at existing facilities are evidence of Tong Hong’s focus on environmental concerns. This focus will also be evident at the new facility with the goal of achieving equally high LWG certification levels.
Tong Hong believe that their expansion into Indonesia will be a positive step in their position as a leader in the split leather processing, providing a world-class service to their global customers.
