Mirza Tanners of Kanpur have opened an own import company in the United States.
Based in Florida, the operation will have its own warehousing facilities from where Mirza will supply to dealers across the US. This will be the third overseas company Mirza Tanners have launched following the flotation of similar operations in the UK and South Africa.
The move comes after the successful marketing of four containers in the US.
In fiscal year 2000-2001 Mirza’s turnover hit Rs1,400 million, some Rs120 million more than in the previous year.
