BLC Leather Technology Centre are to hold two one-day seminars on March 12 and May 13, 2003. Topics to be covered include: aniline and semi-aniline, corrected and pigmented leather as well as product performance, quality and testing.
These specialist leather seminars have proved an invaluable tool for all those working with leather, from quality control, buying, manufacturing, design or retail. Prominent retailers and manufacturers whose staff have already benefited from the ‘Understanding Leather’ seminars include: Top Shop, French Connection, Next, Marks & Spencer, Mulberry, Matalan, Burton’s and Ikea.
‘In order to provide a continued professional and informed service to your customer, a thorough understanding of leather is essential’, says Adam Hughes, sales director. Typical problem areas are covered within the seminar such as quicker identification of problem leather which leads to the prevention of defective leather reaching the customer.
Another area is improved customer service through the ability to give good product aftercare advice and greater confidence for staff in identifying leather types and understanding leather descriptions.
