Madrid International Leather week, Sipiel, has unveiled its new commercial team. Félix Pérez Fajardo is the new commercial director of Sipiel, which includes Modacalzado, and Iberpiel Marroquineria, and Julia García acts as the fair’s coordinator. Pola Iglesias continues in her role as director of International Leather Week.

Félix Pérez Fajardo has been involved in Sipiel for many years, having worked as commercial director of Iberpiel Marroquineria. Pérez Fajardo has a degree in Business Administration and Economics from the Universidad Autónoma in Madrid and a Masters in Marketing Management from the Instituto de Empresa de Madrid. Julia García also has wide experience within the fair sector, and has held positions in various Ifema commercial departments. She has a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid.

The 2004 edition of SIPIEL brought together the ideas of 824 brands, an increase of 9.7% on the previous year. A record number of foreign visitors attended Sipiel. In total, the fair welcomed 23,350 buyers, of which 15.8% came from abroad.

SIPIEL is part of the Madrid Vive la Moda programme which promotes the importance of Madrid has as an international centre for the Fashion industry.

The next edition of SIPIEL will take place between April 1-3 2005, at Feria de Madrid and feature the 2005-06 autumn-winter collections from leading national and international companies within the footwear, leathergoods and accessories sectors.
