After three days, under the new banner since taking over from Cuir à Paris, the consensus was that with its broad, international offer, consistent creative innovation and constant capacity for renewal, the show at the Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte was a unique and unprecedented event that will, with the support of the global fashion industry behind it, drive high-end leather forward.

Exhibitors and visitors affirmed the dynamism of this latest edition. From high-quality contacts to growing sales activities and international visibility, the six shows that comprise Première Vision Paris, including leather, stand out as the industry’s forefront seasonal event.

Great expectations

The show also demonstrated its vitality in the global leather calendar with a new brand policy. Naturally, expectations will be high with each edition, but if this first round is any indication, challenges to deliver will be surpassed.

Nearly 58,500 visitors attended Première Vision Paris from the world’s biggest markets, yet it represented a 5% drop from last year due mainly to a decline in Russian visitors, echoing economic and political instability. US attendees were also down due to the calendar clash with New York Fashion Week. Attendance figures were also affected by general behaviour of visitors who are strategising the frequency of their trips more.
