Wollsdorf Leder have recorded a 21% increase in turnover for the 2000/2001 financial year to reach ATS988 million (US$63.2 million).

Around 70% of the company’s turnover was generated in the automotive industry, with Audi, BMW, Daimler-Chrysler, Jaguar, Porsche and VW among the company’s most important customers. The remainder of the turnover was divided between the furniture and aircraft industries.

During the BSE and foot and mouth crises, the company focused on the premium and niche products segments and managed to produce a balance sheet profit despite difficult market conditions.
