Romania’s National Statistics Institute reports that the total turnover of leather industry companies in Romania in January was 14.9% higher than in December and 30.4% lower than in January 2007. In comparison, the monthly decrease in turnover in Romanian industry in January was 5.9%, and the annual increase, 0.1%.
Romania’s National Statistics Institute reports that 61,000 head of cattle were slaughtered in Romania in January, compared with 44,000 head in the same month in 2007.
