Russia’s State Statistics Committee reports that Russia imported 1.9 million pairs of leather footwear worth US$17.5 million in the first two months of this year, according to the Interfax news agency. Imports in volume terms were 9.1% higher year-on-year. Almost all of this footwear was imported from non-CIS states.
