The Serbian government’s website reports that the Belgrade-based Avala-Guma leathergoods producer was sold to a local entrepreneur for YUM32 million (US$1=YUM59.3) at an auction on January 24. The entrepreneur, Aleksander Savkovic, is said to have partners interested in modernising Avala-Guma.
