The RAL/CS hydraulic through-feed sammy/setting machine from CM has been designed to improve the sammying and setting operations following retanning, dyeing and fatliquoring. The machine is available in a range of working widths from 1.8m to 3.4m for whole hides.
The biggest advantage with the RAL/CS is that the top transport roller is manufactured from pvc and not felt. Therefore, there are no felt marks left on the leather following the setting operation, as the continuous belt is smooth. The transport roller also allows a faster throughput than other similar machines on the market.
CM claim that the RAL/CS can process 200-250 hides or approximately 300 sides per hour. The machine requires only one operative for side leather and two people for full hides.
The sammying pressure can be adjusted between 0 and 130 bar and the belt speed can be adjusted between 7 to 20 metres per minute. The two pressing rollers can be adjusted hydraulically and the felts are automatically centred. The machine is fully guarded and meets all of the current EU safety regulations.
