The World Leather Congress has confirmed seven speakers including M V Pratini de Moraes (ex-Brazilian Minister of Trade, Agriculture and Industry), Sergio Miranda da Cruz (Director of the Bureau for Program Results Monitoring, UNIDO) and Peter Mangione (ex-president of the largest shoe trade association in the United States and director of Global Footwear Partnerships, an international consulting practice.

The congress’ main theme is ‘Present and Future’ and the event is organised by the International Council of Tanners, the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) and Couromoda, the Brazilian trade fair.

The World Leather Congress will be held one day after the World Footwear Congress (an official event of the European Confederation of the Footwear Industries), which will take place on November 7-8 and represents a great opportunity for delegates to participate in both events.

There will be seven speakers and over 30 industry experts with knowledge and experience on leather issues for the panels and discussions. The Congress intends to be a forum for discussion among the speakers and the audience as well as a great networking opportunity.
