Two new foams announced recently by Stahl International provide the leather industry with an opportunity for first-rate upgrading of low quality leathers and can even be used with white finishes.
RC-18-075 Compact Resin Binder is a heat foam resin based on a modified acrylic co-polymer emulsion that is designed to give excellent upgrading when incorporated into the base coat. It provides extremely good coverage, uniformity and fill and yet still maintains the softness of the leather.
When plated at 110°C the film expands and it is this characteristic that provides the extremely high level of filling that is the outstanding feature of this product. RC-18-075 is ideal for use when upgrading low quality leathers and is successful even when used in white finishing systems.
RC-18-905 Compact Resin Binder is a pre-foamed co-polymer emulsion, specially designed for use as the sole resin when finishing full or corrected grain and upholstery leathers. The binder is pre-foamed by Stahl in manufacture making it ready for use at the point of application when combined with pigment. RC-18-905 covers and fills extremely well and also gives first-class print retention and physical properties.
Both these new products can also be used in conjunction with many other selected Stahl products to provide significant enhancements for upgrading leather.
