Ukraine’s State Statistics Committee reports that there were 7.03 million head of livestock on farms in Ukraine on October 1 this year, a fall of 1.5% compared with the number on the same date in 2005. The Vinnytsya oblast (region), with 474,000 head, had the most livestock of any oblast in Ukraine on October 1.
