Zschimmer & Schwarz have extended their range of auxiliaries for leather production. Besides the traditional fatliquor developments, new items for retannage and basification have been created as follows:
Prinol FA: a fatliquor for automotive and upholstery leather. As this oil has a synthetic basis, it shows excellent properties for low fogging, softness, even dyeing and stability to heat yellowing. Its application is recommended as a single fatliquor or in combination with other oils.
Provol CA: a highly concentrated fatliquor for low fogging automotive leathers as well as for other soft articles. Based on renewable raw materials, this product does not increase the leather weight and keeps the fullness and tightness of the leather.
Dolagen AP: a hydrophobing agent of the new product range named Dolagen. Due to a low fogging behaviour, this product is mostly advantageous for automotive leather production. The leather character shows an excellent softness with good lightfastness.
Novaltan V: a filling agent for retannage and highly effective for shoe upper leathers. Being resin free, the product will not create formalin when heated. It is also recommended that Novaltan V be used as a filler for automotive leathers.
Dolatan LPE: a basification agent for high exhaustion of chrome. This product has reactive complex formers which achieve a better bond of the chrome powder in the pelt. Due to this buffer system, Dolatan LPE is most favourable in the application because of its low pH value during basification.
