APLF moved to end of June

28 March 2003

The organisers of the Asia Pacific Leather Fair, due to be held from April 7-10, have postponed the fair until June 26-28 due to the variant pneumonia epidemic. The outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in Hong Kong and other countries has caused a lot of exhibitors and potential visitors to revise their travel plans. Michael Duck, director of Asia Pacific Fair Ltd, said: 'We are responding to the concerns of our many customers, exhibitors and visitors alike, due to the atypical pneumonia outbreak in the region. We look forward to welcoming them in Hong Kong in some months time when we are confident the situation will be resolved.' Both parts of the APLF will take place in the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, from Thursday to Saturday, June 26-28, 2003.
