Average wage in Russia and Romania

Russia's State Statistics Committee reports that the average monthly wage in the Russian leather industry in September 2005 was US$172), an increase of 25% as compared with the same month the previous year. In comparison, the average gross monthly wage in Russia in September was 26% higher year-on-year at US$306. Romania's National Statistics Institute reports that the average gross monthly wage in Romania's leather industry in October was US$197), 0.8% higher than in September. In comparison, the average gross monthly wage in Romania in October was 0.2% higher at US$321.
