BIL 2001 gets bigger and better

The fourth Bangkok International Trade Fair will be held from October 10-14, 2001, at the Bangkok International Trade Exhibition Centre. Banphot Hongthong, director-general of Thailand's Department of Export Promotion (DEP), Ministry of Commerce, said that the fair will be bigger in size this year, featuring products with better designs and with more variety of products for local and overseas exhibitors. A full range of leathergoods and footwear will be on display, as well as leather for footwear and furniture. There will also be raw materials, machinery and equipment for the footwear industry. 'Thailand has established a solid reputation for its innovative, high quality leathergoods at competitive prices and is fast transforming itself into the leathergoods production and trade hub of Asia', said Hongthong.
