Clash of dates latest

In November, the organisers of GDS met the organisers of Micam in Milan. It was intended as the first of several meetings aimed at solving the problem of the clash of dates between the September editions of the two fairs. The leaders of Anci have said nothing about the subjects of this first meeting but they appear quite optimistic about the final results. Micam appear to be in a strong position with exhibitors' preregistration for March 2003 almost complete. However, all the operators hope Micam and GDS will find an agreement in order to avoid another 'war' between the two shows. Mipel's organisers are also hoping for a good conclusion because the success of the Milan leathergoods fair largely depends on its concurring dates with Micam.
