Czech Republic trade in live cattle

The Czech Statistical Office reports that the Czech Republic recorded a surplus of 43,281 tonnes in its international trade in live cattle in the period from December 1, 2007, to November 30, 2008.


Live cattle imports totalled just 1,966 tonnes during the period, with 80% of imports coming from Slovakia and 12% from Germany. Live cattle exports totalled 45,247 tonnes, with 49% exported to Austria, 17% to Germany, and 6% to both Italy and Croatia. Total live cattle imports and exports both increased year-on-year.
