Dongguan China Shoes, China Shoetec expects 25,000 visitors

14 September 2007

To cope with the market development and cater to the needs of various exhibitors and buyers, autumn fair will focus on both the import and export markets in China. More detailed product categorisation will be another highlight of the show in order to build up a more thorough and all-round business platform for the industry. In the first half of 2007, China's shoes import value reached US$110 million, an increase of 16.9% over the same period of last year. Domestic shoe consumption reached 2 billion pairs, most of which are mainly medium-to-top grades. China's urban per capita disposable income from Jan-June 2007 has increased by 14.2% compared with the same period of last year. These figures show that there is huge potential in China's domestic shoes market. Numerous international brands are establishing themselves in the first-tier cities of China, such as Amaldi from France, Beta, Valentino and Bolune from Italy, Martniel and Hash Puppies from the US and Clarks from the UK. Dongguan China Shoes serves as a perfect platform for international brands to meet and interact with large-scale retailers, distributors, agents and OEM manufacturers in China. Dongguan China Shoes will also make a presentation on 'Criteria of Import and Export Shoes in China' at GDS in Germany, and invite Yan Huaidao, Deputy Director of China Leather and Footwear Industry Research Institute and Tony Fung, CEO of Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd to speak on various topics, including Criteria of Import and Export Shoes in China, Technological 'Grind-in' for OEM Factories and International Brands, Technological and Management Precautions for the Cooperation between OEM Factories and International Brands, together with the show update of Dongguan China Shoes, China Shoetec. It is the first time that China will hold a presentation overseas regarding shoe industry standards, and this opportunity is too good to miss. The presentation will be held at 3:30pm on Sep 15, 2007 at GDS in the Symposium Area of Hall 16, 16E60. Dongguan China Shoes, China Shoetec attracts 700 exhibitors in over 30,000 sq m exhibiting area and anticipates 25,000 international and local visitors. Besides growing in scale, new elements will be added, such as the 'Brand Label Zone' which will be set up in the China Shoes section to let the buyers have closer contact with the famous brands. In the China Shoetec section, a 'Leather and Material Zone' and an 'Accessories and Technology Zone' will be newly set up along with the traditional 'Machinery Zone' so that shoes manufacturers should be able to find the full range of high-quality.
