DyStar and Boehme's joint solutions for the leather industry

16 April 2007

This year's APLF will be a special platform for DyStar and Boehme to jointly present their solutions and developments for the leather industry. Latest innovations include leathers and furs which have been processed with DyStar dyes. These dyes, marketed under the Solvaderm brand name, have outstanding fastness properties, very high brilliancy and excellent combinability with each other. The Boehme wet-end chemicals range has been complemented by several newly developed dyeing auxiliaries such as Carbacet CPE and Carbacet DLW. Carbacet CPE is a real innovation in this field because it has good affinity with both fibre and dye. For this reason, dyeings with excellent levelness and good penetration can be achieved with Carbacet CPE. Carbacet DLW is a new wool levelling agent for use when dyeing fur suedes and fine furs. The DyStar/Boehme stand will also feature soft, tight-grained and round shoe upper leathers fatted with Cutapol RPN. This product produces a full, round handle and gives leather uppers their classic bounce. Other exhibits will include garment and glove leathers treated with Cutapol GGL, a product which has proven successful for the production of white garment and glove leathers. Visitors to the DyStar/Boehme stand will also have an opportunity to see classic automotive and upholstery leathers produced with Boehme's well-known wet-end products, which have proven their excellence time and time again. In addition, DyStar will present their quality solutions for leather finishing. Alongside specialities for cationic finishes and compounds for a variety of leather finishes, these include an improved version of Oil Phob 1449. This product greatly increases the water-resistance of leather that has already been given a waterproof treatment. To complement fashion finishes, the company will also be exhibiting Filler CA, which enhances the production of leathergoods. The DyStar/Boehme team look forward to welcoming visitors and would be pleased to support the development of your business. Stand 1C22, Hall 1
