DyStar dispose of leather finishing

15 November 2007

DyStar have announced their decision to refocus their leather activities and sign an agreement to transfer their leather finishing business to Heim Leather Chem GmbH. The transaction was expected to be closed in early September.
Klaus Freund is the owner and managing director of Heim Leather Chem and was, until recently, head of leather finishing at DyStar. This ensures that the transition will take place smoothly and that customers will receive the same high-quality products and advisory services as in the past.

Exiting the leather finishing business will enable DyStar to focus their leather activities entirely on the wet-end sector. Dr Michael Breitsamer, who is in charge of DyStar’s leather wet-end operations, stresses the company’s commitment to this business: ‘We will continue to invest in these activities and aim to position DyStar as a specialist full-solution provider for wet-end processes’
