East European ten-month foreign trade

Ukraine’s State Statistics Committee reports that Ukraine exported leather and leather products worth US$316 million in the first ten months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 37%. Ukrainian imports of the same types of commodities in the January to October period were 16% higher year-on-year at US$125 million.


Albania’s National Statistics Institute reports that Albania imported leather and leather products worth US$77 million in the first ten months of this year, compared with imports worth US$66 million in the same period in 2006. Albanian exports of the same types of commodities in the January to October period were worth US$21 million, as against US$15 million in the corresponding period last year.Serbia’s Statistical Office reports that Serbia exported leather and leather products worth E136 million in the first ten months of this year, compared with E111 million in the same period last year. Serbian imports of the same types of commodities in the January to October period were worth E200 million, as against E156 million in the corresponding period in 2006.Croatia’s Central Bureau of Statistics reports that Croatia exported leather and leather products worth US$283 million in the first ten months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 12%. Croatian imports of the same types of commodities in the January to October period were 15.5% higher year-on-year at US$376 million.
