Elmo Leather face administration

Swedish upholstery leather makers, Elmo Leather have entered into adminstration after their bank was no longer willing to continue providing funds to keep the business afloat.


Elmo say that the situation has been made extremely difficult for them by a major automotive supplier not providing promised support to the company over recent months after they won a contract to supply a premium volume model. Elmo headquartered in Svenljunga, previously entered administration at the end of 2008 but the company continued manufacturing after it restructured. The firm currently employ 300 people.
