Expert cutting at APLF

Expert International were exhibiting in the German pavilion at the APLF. Situated in Bielefeld, they are acknowledged experts for automated leather cutting. They have been offering different modular high-performance leather cutting systems and solutions since 1994. These are also able to cut several other materials such as plastics, rubber, foam and man-made fibres. Expert offer different cutting technologies, ie waterjet cutter systems or wheel cutter systems. Expert unite decades of experience in leather cutting under their roof and numerous Expert cutting systems are working successfully in several international production facilities: Porsche, Germany; Boxmark, Austria; HTL, China; and Nicoletti, Italy. The modular and flexible design of the leather cutting systems enables meeting the different requirements of customers. Different customised compositions of leather system modules allow Expert to offer production lines which cut in the upholstery and automotive sector from 80-240 full and complete cow hides per shift. The manpower requirements for different systems are minimal. A fundamental module, the scan conveyor automatically registers and controls the size and quality of all hides which is connected to a complete leather stock administration. To guarantee maximum leather yield, the software modules Multinest and Hypernest offer different nesting capabilities. Multinest allows automatic and interactive nesting of up to 25 hides simultaneously. Hypernest optimises 2-100 hides per order simultaneously and automatically at night, offering different nesting results to achieve maximum yield. Both software modules have additional features such as integrated nesting of sample pieces or recut pieces. Both offer all possibilities to run pre-calculations of leather yield for new models, without cutting the leather. The CutExpert Waterjet DP100 double-headed waterjet cutter cuts one full and complete hide simultaneously with two nozzles and constant cutting accuracy to +-0.1mm. The machine offers an acceleration of 1G which leads to minimum cutting times and, therefore, to unsurpassed price-performance-ratio. CutExpert Ecojet single-headed waterjet cutter is the small waterjet cutter designed for medium-sized companies which have restricted requirements for cutting leather or which need a small cutting machine for prototype cutting. CutExpert Variojet, Expert's latest development, is especially designed for cutting patterns for shoes, bags, accessories and garments using waterjet technology. The Variojet is a multifunctional cutting machine for leather and technical textiles.
