Feltre offer automatic selection

Expedite is the new automatic area measuring, siding, stamping and stacking machine from Feltre. Once the area measuring and siding have taken place, the wet-blue is automatically folded and loaded onto a pallet by grade. Both hides and sides can stacked. The machine is aimed at wet-blue, vegetable or wet-white tanners that require rapid grading and stacking of tanned leathers using automation. The Expedite is placed in-line following the sammying/setting operation and only requires two operatives. The Expedite machine which was on display at Tanning Tech featured two pallet stations for wet-blue but it can be extended to cover up to six different grades or specifications. Wet-blue splits and croupons may also be placed on to a pallet using the device. The machine is made from stainless steel and all machine functions are controlled by plc software to allow the operative to select any one of 99 storable programs. The panel also includes an automatic fault search display, which can be connected to other terminals. The machine on display at Tanning Tech will be installed into the Ecco Group's wet-blue facility in the Netherlands.
