Laos - Livestock farming in Vientiane

The authorities in the Lao capital of Vientiane have set the city's residents the target of raising 65,440 cows in the 2004-2005 agricultural year, according to the KPL news agency. In the 2003-2004 agricultural year, the target was 59,495 cows. The authorities in Vientiane are seeking to increase beef supplies to local markets.
