Latvian foreign trade in January

Latvia's Central Statistics Bureau reports that Latvia exported raw hides and skins, and leather and leather products, worth USS1.63 million in January, accounting for 0.5% of Latvian exports during the month. Latvian imports of the same types of commodities in January were worth US$1.47 million, accounting for 0.3% of total Latvian imports. The number of cattle on farms in Latvia on January 1 this year was reported as 371,100, compared with 378,600 at the start of 2004.
