Le Cuir A Paris celebrates 10 years

20 September 2011

Le Cuir A Paris celebrated its 10th anniversary with a cocktail party for exhibitors and invited guests at the end of the first day of the show today. Most exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the quality and quantity of visitors attending the three day show. 'Most of our exhibitors haven't stopped all day. They have been busy since first thing this morning', Sophie Hivert, Manager, Federation Francaise de la Tannerie - Megisserie, told Leather International. 'The demand for high quality, luxury leather continues', she added.

According to exhibitors many designers and buyers from top level brands, particularly French such as Hermes, Chanel and LVMH etc had visited the stands as the demand for high-end luxury leather seems to continue for the autumn/winter 2012-13 collections. It would also seem that many of the buyers in the high-end segment are prepared to accept a lift in finished leather prices following the high cost of raw materials.

This edition of Le Cuir A Paris is the largest by surface area and the largest number of exhibitors comes from Italy followed by France, Spain and Turkey. There are also a large number of stands from other European countries and from Brazil.
