Long An leather zone

A 100-hectare industrial zone for the exclusive manufacture of leather products and footwear is proposed for the southern province of Long An. The Tan Tao Industrial Zone Development Company and the Viet Nam Leather and Footwear Corporation are to promote the project. According to the former's general director Dang Thanh Tam, it will manufacture mainly for export. With a proposed investment of VND500 billion for infrastructure, the IZ is expected to top US$200-300 million in annual exports. There are 15,083 dong to the US dollar.
