Prevent Leather increase tanning capacity

Auto upholstery leather makers, Prevent Leather will increase their production capacities by 70% by the end of second quarter of 2012. Daily production at the company will increase to 3500 hides up from the current level of 2000 hides per day. Prevent are a major supplier of leather for a number of European car producers.


Prevent Leather operates within the Prevent Group in Bosnia and Herzegovina which is part of global company that employees over 12,000 employees in 35 locations worldwide. Prevent Group in Bosnia and Herzegovina are a leading private corporation with 5000 employees across five production sites. With over 850 employees, Prevent Leather is significant part of the Group. It is the most modern tannery in south-eastern Europe with a production floor area of 20.000 m2.  Operational activities include all the stages of leather processing, starting from raw hides to tanning, finishing and cutting.

Wet-white full grain leather and wet-blue splits for steering wheels are produced to meet the highest technological and environmental standards.
