SARS causes DILF date change

7 May 2003

The Delhi International Leather Fair (DILF) has been postponed from May 22-25 to October 19-22, 2003 due to the outbreak of the SARS virus in Asia. The organising committee has decided to keep this date for all future editions of the fair. India has a strong leather and leather product sector employing some two million people and is the seventh most important export earner in the Indian economy. For the revised dates of the fair the organisers, the CLE and ITPO, have arranged special travel packages including 3 nights in a five-star hotel and return flights for US$699 (from Europe) and US$1,099 (from the USA and Japan). This also includes airport transfers, factory visits around Delhi and entrance to the fashion show.
