The one and only - FIMEC Brazil

20 February 2015

FIMEC Brazil, the marquee international leather fair rated as one of the top-three fairs in the global leather-footwear sector, will have its 39th edition at Fenac Novo Hamburgo 17–20 March, and will once again highlight a broad spectrum of leather products and accessories, chemicals and components, machinery and equipments for footwear and related products and services.

Billed this year as 'the one and only with everything', FIMEC Brazil is also a chance for the global industry to reconvene, and get a glimpse into the Brazilian leather market and its impact around the world.

The event is widely known for bringing together leading brands that display their latest and exclusive collections, and this year's event comes at a unique time in leather.

"The most important thing is that FIMEC is always up to date, accompanying the needs of the sector, its exhibitors and also the visiting public," comments Fenac CEO, Elivir Desiam. "This is an event that, as the slogan states, is the one and only with everything. We offer a positive scenario for the launch of products, the exchange of information and advancing business."

The direct approach

This is also the second instalment of FIMEC with the Trensurb rail service operating.

"Thanks to Trensurb, Fenac will be one of the only fair and events centres in Latin America to offer modern, safe, fast and efficient transport right up to its door," Desiam adds.

Once in FIMEC, the Estúdio Fimec space combines creative capacity and design, with a goal to demonstrate potential to the market. And to meet the proposed objectives, Estúdio Fimec prepared an exclusive trend survey, passed on to exhibitors. Based on this work, companies and professionals of their choice develop products, with complete freedom of interpretation and expression. The results can be seen each day of the fair.

Through the doors

The event is organised by Fenac and Novo Hamburgo City Hall, with sponsorship by Transduarte and Sicoob/Ecocredi, as well as partnerships with some of the sector's leading entities such as ABQTIC (Brazilian Association of Leather Industry Chemists and Technicians); ABRAMEQ (Brazilian Association of the Industries of Machinery and Equipment for the Sectors of Leather, Footwear and Related Goods); ACI-NH/CB/EV (Association of Commerce, Industry and Services of Novo Hamburgo, Campo Bom and Estância Velha); AICSul (Rio Grande do Sul Tanning Industry Association); ASSINTECAL (The Brazilian Association of Leather, Shoe and Leatherwear Component Companies); CICB (Brazilian Centre of Tannery Industries); IBTeC (Brazilian Institute of Technology for Leather, Footwear and Related Products); and Feevale University.

FIMEC is an international fair for leather, chemicals, components and accessories for footwear, machines and equipment for tanneries, all of which will be at the 2015 event.
