On Friday 8 June, the Italian Association of Leather Chemists, AICC, will hold the 46th National Conference at the Teatro della Compagnia, in Castelfranco di Sotto (PI).
The title selected for this important annual Italian meeting is:
“Leather as an icon of luxury: the art of raising the prestige of a waste material with sustainability”.
During the conference, the significant role of the tanning industry will be illustrated, starting from the recent regulations on by-products, and pointing out the unique characteristics of leather, which make it an internationally recognised luxury icon.
Several research works will be presented, as well as innovations in processes, products, plants and waste and wastewater treatment. Such illustration will demonstrate the real sustainability of the whole tanning sector.
All the presentations will be in Italian language.
