Once again, the range and quality of the work produced was outstanding, making the selection of prize winners an unenviable task. Consequently, the number of winners was increased from three to six as follows:
First prize
Robyn Headley – mushrooms
Second prize
Laurell Wilding – lightballs
Joint third prize
Olivia Broadman – decorative panels
Sarah Bunting – popart male/female images
Joint fourth prize
Alice Cheaney – wallhanging
Natalya Koval – handbag

In addition to the winning items, a further selection of designs and supporting material will be on display at BLC, providing an excellent ‘shop window’ for the students’ work as well as an opportunity for visitors to view and evaluate future talent.
The scope and standard of the projects not only give a clear illustration of the versatility of leather, which was a new medium for the students, but also, based on the nature and quality of the work produced, bodes well for the future as students from the university move into industry.
