CICB sponsor tree planting
Brazilian tanners’ association CICB, which represents 800 leather companies, is supporting a project to plant 10,000 trees launched by Couromoda, the biggest leather products fair in Latin América which will take place between 14-17 January in São Paulo. The trees to be planted are flowering Tecoma chrysostricha, the national symbol of Brazil. At the event, CICB president Luiz Bittencourt affirmed that the leather production chain invests particularly large amounts in environmental programs.
