JBS Couros will be a major participant during the Asia Pacific Leather Fair (APLF), one of the world’s biggest fairs for leather and associated products, which will be held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from 30 March to 1 April.
Apart from its stand at the exhibition, where it will be presenting new collections for its product ranges for the car, furniture, footwear and artifacts segments, the company will also be taking part in the Sustainability in the Supply Chain Leather Conference 2016, the event’s sustainability conference, where Fernando Bellese, the JBS Couros marketing and sustainability manager, will be speaking.
During the panel, he will speak on integrated sustainability for the leather production chain, focusing on process efficiency and transparency from the farm through to the end product.
"JBS has a vertical structure that provides full control over the leather value chain," said Bellese. "We can monitor and manage the product from farm through to the final phase of production and we have adopted cleaner production methods throughout the process. We are very proud of what we have achieved and we want to present our work to the entire leather industry."
JBS Couros will also have a stand for its Italian-based business unit, Conceria Priante, focused on the luxury and high-end markets. The stand will be displaying the "from Chic to Unique" collection, which includes a range of products with a unique juxtaposition of colors and textures.
The APFL will attract the world’s biggest leather companies, retail networks and suppliers and is an important platform for driving improvement throughout the global leather industry.
