IULTCS welcomes LETSB Bangladesh as a new member

25 November 2019

The IULTCS is pleased to announce that it cordially welcomes the Leather Engineers and Technologists Society, Bangladesh (LETSB) as a full member of the IULTCS family.

LETSB is a professional organisation of Leather, Footwear and Leather Products Engineers of Bangladesh, established in 1989. LETSB upholds the interest of the members by practicing sound technical matters for the industry; to organise technical seminars, workshops and leather fairs; to create awareness about compliance on environment, health and social aspects. It also assists government and non-government organisations by providing authentic technical support.

As leather in Bangladesh is a predominant natural resource it is important that the voice of this region be heard in global technical discussions and that they make a contribution towards the technical direction taken by the industry.

The LETSB International Affairs Secretary, Firoj Khan Nun, commented that with currently over 1000 members the LETSB is increasing its membership base each year.

IULTCS President, Thomas Yu, welcomed LETSB saying “On behalf of the Executive Committee I am pleased to welcome LETSB Bangladesh as a new member and look forward to their active participation in IULTCS activities."
