Karim Leathers founder passes away

Rezaul Kraim Ansari, a renowned pillar in the international leather community, died on 22 March at the age of 60.

 


With more than 40 years of experience in the leather sector, Ansari was the founder and chairman of Karim Leathers, Bangladesh's third-largest tannery and one of the country's oldest. He was also the chairman of the Bangladesh Finished Leather, Leathergoods & Footwear Exporters' Association (BFLLFEA) for four years.

 


Besides his leather business, he was one of the founding directors of Jamuna Bank (JBL), Australian International School, Express Insurance and Kamtex.

 


He leaves behind a wife and four sons.
